I"ve trained with Professor Nick since 2023, and my fundamentals improved greatly with his coaching. He always mentions that jiujitsu is the gentle art, and he demonstrates ways to use reactions from our partners to execute a move instead of fighting through resistance. He really emphasizes basics (e.g. proper breakfall, pinning, back escapes) to the point that higher belts also benefit with his details.
IMPORTANT: He prioritizes safety above all. I've never been seriously injured during any of his classes. He often makes notes on how to avoid injury if any moves have even a hint of danger. Even though he has multiple gold medals and is one of the most formidable grapplers in New York, his rolls are the safest.
TLDR; Whatever your goals are for doing jiujitsu, I highly recommend training with Prof. Nick to safely and effectively pursue your martial arts journey.

Professor Nick is an outstanding instructor! From the moment I walked through the door, he was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Whether you're training for self-defense, as a hobby, or for competition, Nick has the knowledge and approach to help everyone succeed. He's had a tremendous impact on me—not just in training, but in life—and the lessons I've learned from him will stay with me both on and off the mat. Do yourself a favor and train with Professor Nick. You won’t regret it!

I’ve had the privilege of training under Professor Nick since 2019, shortly after he moved up from Fight Sports Miami and brought truly world-class jiu-jitsu to our academy. From the very beginning, it was clear that he wasn’t just an incredibly skilled practitioner, he was also a dedicated and thoughtful instructor who genuinely cares about the growth and well-being of his students.
Professor Nick has a deep knowledge of jiu-jitsu and a passion for teaching that shines through in every class. He breaks down techniques in a way that’s easy to understand and always takes the time to ensure everyone, from beginners to advanced students, is learning and progressing. What really sets him apart is his patience, humility, and the respect he shows to everyone who steps on the mats.
My entire family has trained under him, and it’s been an amazing journey for all of us. He creates a positive, welcoming environment where people can challenge themselves, build confidence, and grow both on and off the mats. Personally, I consider it an incredible honor to have earned my black belt under his guidance.
If you’re looking for a high-level jiu-jitsu coach who is not only a phenomenal technician but also a great human being, I can’t recommend Professor Nick enough.

Nick is an absolutely amazing teacher and outstanding individual off the mat as well.
Whether you're a 40 year old hobbyist, a 20 yr old hard core competitor or anything in between, he's the guy you want in your corner. He similarly has outstanding kids classes.
If you're looking for a long term martial arts home gym, then you can't find better.

I've been training with Professor Nick for about 4-5 years now and I have nothing bad to say about him. Under his tutelage I have became a better Jiu Jitsu practitioner and a better a person. I owe a lot of my MMA and Jiu Jitsu success to this man right here. I am honored to call him friend and professor and I'm sure others will feel the same after a few sessions. He is one of the best coaches I ever had, he's my day 1.

Around 3 years ago, I started training with Nick. Right off the bat I knew he was the real deal. Very well rounded and has a deep as well as admirable understanding of jiu jitsu. He brings positive energy and good vibes to every class. He is also a world class athlete that competes at the same tournaments as his students, regularly. He is one of the best people I know. 10/10 he might beat you up a little bit tho
